Need a CLUE on how to successfully manage your time, study, implement self-care strategies, combat test anxiety, and more? ASP is here to help with a series of Study Skills Workshops. 

All workshops are presented by Academic Success Coaches and will be virtual through Zoom for winter quarter. To register, click on the link by each workshop to receive the Zoom link. You must register for each workshop separately. If you have any questions, please email aspcoach@uw.edu.

Staying Motivated and Successful Time Management

Do you have questions about creating a time management system that works for you? Are you struggling staying motivated within online courses? This workshop offers practical strategies to help you develop time management skills and how to stay motivated as we start a new quarter. The workshop focuses on awareness of time, proactive planning, estimating the correct hours of studying necessary to succeed, and developing long term study habits.

Do you feel like the amount of time you spend studying, and the grade you receive is just not adding up? Or maybe the study strategy you are using is just not working within online learning environments or a specific course? In this workshop, we will go over different learning styles as well as tips on how to create an effective study environment.

This workshop will inform you on the many benefits you can gain from reaching out to instructors, classmates, and other resources as well as self-care strategies for the winter quarter.

Finals Exam Prep And Test Anxiety

Do you have questions about preparing for your final exams? Do you freak out prior to exams no matter how prepared you are? This workshop will help you plan for and be ready for your final exams. We will also go over general studying and exam prep to use within online learning environments. We will also provide tips on how to manage and handle test anxiety.

Preparing for Graduate School

What is the difference between a Master’s Degree and a Professional Degree? How do you know which program is right for you? How do you pay for graduate school? All of these questions and more will be discussed in the upcoming Academic Support Programs workshop: Preparing for Graduate School. If you are an undergraduate student who is considering furthering their education after getting a Bachelor’s degree, this is a great starting place to decode some of the confusing aspects of graduate school.
